CHILD CARE Referral Center was founded by Vicki Allsup (me!), parent of three grown sons and seven awesome grandchildren! Vicki, a currently state-listed provider with former experience as a state-registered provider, pre-school teacher in a licensed child care center and staffing coordinator who understands the dilemmas of both parents and providers decided to take her 30+ years of combined experience and begin CHILD CARE Referral Center.Our mission is to serve both--parents in need of affordable, quality child care and providers, both In-Home & Licensed Centers, overburdened with high advertising costs wanting to keep their child care fees reasonable. Our goal is to simplify the child care searching process for parents and providers. Our daycare directory should help you find the proper babysitting agencies. If you're a caregiver, we can also act as nanny placement.(In other words--we're the guys that get you two together--saves you time & money--gives you peace of mind--and makes everybody happy!).
More about who I am: I live in the Fort Worth, Texas area and have since 1972. My oldest son is 40 and I've been a State Registered or Listed provider off and on all through the years since he was a little boy. Being a Child Care Provider myself, I know it's frustrating to try to build and maintain a child care business and make a living at it--especially when it's necessary to advertise. Newspaper advertising has sky-rocketed (like everything else!). I don't know about you--but I got tired of spending a week or two of my income to advertise. That's why the rates here at CCRC are EXTREMELY reasonable--because I'm one of you--whether you're an In-Home Provider or a Licensed Center! I'm still listed with the state and only keep 1 or 2 little ones. I spent most of my past Registered with the State because I wanted to care for more than 3 children. Child Care Referral Center is a business and I do have expenses, however, it's also a labor of love and a way to hopefully help other child care providers just like me.
My hope is that you'll come join other child care providers at Child Care Referral Center and together we'll build something helpful to us all. After a 19 year friendship Shannon & I married.
I baked and decorated our wedding cake with the exception of the middle cake. I taught Shannon how to do basketweave design and he did a great job on that one! However, he said driving a big rig truck is easier than cake decorating!!
